In Downtown Walnut Creek
Spooktacular Stroll is a free event for children and families in our community. Trick-or-treaters will receive a map of participating businesses at the starting location, visit sponsor booths, take part in fun activities, and proceed to downtown storefronts to collect Halloween candy.
We are thrilled to announce many exciting additions to one of our most anticipated events of the year. Spooktacular Stroll will have many activities including:
- Face painting
- Story Time
- Kids Halloween crafts
- Games and prizes
- Pumpkin Coloring Contest
Event Information:
- Begin your afternoon of fun at the starting location (Broadway Plaza) to pick up an event map of participating businesses that are giving out candy/treats
- Join us before the event starts at 11:30AM for Story Time at Barnes & Noble (1192 Locust St.)
- The first 1,000 trick-or-treaters will receive a complimentary reusable trick-or-treat bag.
- Trick or treating and activities at this event are for children 12 and under only. Parents must accompany children under 10 years of age during the event.
- PARKING: 3 hours of FREE parking at the Broadway Plaza parking garage (entrances on S. Broadway and Newell Ave.).
Starting Location: Broadway Plaza Located in the Event Plaza (near True Food Kitchen, 120 Broadway Lane, Walnut Creek)
Story Time: 11:30am at Barnes & Noble
Come dressed in your Halloween costume and get into the spooky spirit with your family.

Participate in the 2023 Boo Bash Coloring Contest! Sponsored by The King's Jewelers.
HOW TO PARTICIPATE & ENTER THE CONTEST:
- Pickup a coloring page (see below for details)
- Color your page... remember, creativity counts!
- Fill in an adults name and phone number on the back of the coloring sheet
- Drop it off at a participating location:
- Spooktacular Stroll (12-3pm) @ The King’s Jewelers
- Walnut Creek Downtown’s Booth (3-6pm) @ Trunk or Treat
- Winners will be announced on Halloween, 10/30!
- Check walnutcreekdowntown.com website and @walnutcreekdowntown Instagram for announcement of our contest winners.
- Winners will be chosen and displayed in The King’s Jewelers (1655 North Main Street)
