VOLUNTEER WITH US!

Are you passionate about Oktoberfest and eager to be part of our incredible celebration? We're looking for enthusiastic volunteers to join our team and help us make this event unforgettable.

Walnut Creek Downtown Association's events would not happen without the help of our wonderful and dedicated volunteers. If you're ready to lend a hand and be a part of the Oktoberfest magic, we'd love to have you sign up and join our team!

21 and older volunteers will receive an Oktoberfest drink ticket. Under 21 will receive a lunch voucher to be redeemed from an on-site food vendor. 

*Please note that all volunteers must be at least 15 years old or be accompanied by an adult and can commit to a two-hour shift. Walnut Creek Downtown will host a Volunteer Orientation prior to Oktoberfest including dinner and an introduction to German beers. 

Interested in volunteering as a group?

We are looking for groups of volunteers to take over specific areas & booths at the event. Whether you are a group of friends, family members, a sports team, from an organization, coworkers, etc. we would love to have your group volunteer together. Volunteer Orientation

September 26th, 5:30-7:00pm

All volunteers are invited and encouraged to attend the Oktoberfest Volunteer Orientation on September 26th, 2024 from 5:30-7:00pm.

Location: Civic Park East (1375 Civic Drive, across the bridge)

VOLUNTEER POSITION DUTIES: During the orientation we will provide a comprehensive overview of the volunteer responsibilities. Your tasks may include include assisting with event setup and breakdown, ticketing, crowd management, and various other essential roles to ensure the festival runs smoothly. Please come prepared with any questions you may have about your specific duties.

DINNER: To kick off the orientation, we will host a light dinner to thank our volunteers. This will be an excellent opportunity to meet fellow volunteers and get to know your team. If you have any dietary restrictions or preferences, please let us know in advance so we can accommodate your needs.

GERMAN BIER INTRODUCTION: No Oktoberfest celebration is complete without the taste of authentic German beer. We will have a knowledgeable beer enthusiast on hand to introduce you to the different types of German beer that will be featured at the event. You'll learn about their unique flavors, styles, and how to serve them properly.

WHAT TO BRING:
• A notepad and pen for taking notes during the orientation.
• Enthusiasm and a positive attitude!

More information will be sent out prior to the orientation. Please RSVP by 9/25/24 to confirm your attendance at the orientation and let us know if you have any dietary restrictions or special requests.
