For two decades, Walnut Creek on Ice has been the East Bay’s favorite place to skate, celebrate, and make holiday memories. Located in Civic Park, our seasonal rink brings sparkle to downtown with festive decorations, holiday music, and the magic of skating under the lights.
With a 64’ x 100’ skating surface, Walnut Creek on Ice is one of California’s largest outdoor ice rinks and welcomes more than 40,000 skaters each season. Visitors can also enjoy Frosty’s Summit, our thrilling ice slide, and the Rinkside Experience with cozy fire pits, perfect for gathering with friends and family.
From family outings and date nights to birthday parties, field trips, and special programs like our ice skating academy and hockey programs, the rink is a destination for all ages.
Proudly presented by the Walnut Creek Downtown Association in partnership with the City of Walnut Creek, this beloved holiday tradition draws visitors from across the Bay Area to skate, slide, shop, dine, and enjoy the season together.
