Community Care Network

Walnut Creek businesses supporting Kaiser Permanente NICU families

Having a baby in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) can be stressful, emotional, and often unexpected. During this time, a chance to step away from the hospital, enjoy a warm meal, and recharge can give NICU families a welcome moment of care and comfort.

Kaiser Permanente and the Walnut Creek Downtown Association created the Community Care Network to connect NICU families with local businesses that care. Through this pilot program, participating Walnut Creek restaurants offer families with a baby receiving care in the Kaiser Permanente Walnut Creek NICU a 15% discount on dine-in and take-out orders.

The pilot program runs from October 15, 2026, through January 31, 2027.

Walnut Creek Cares

The Community Care Network brings local businesses and health care together to support families during a challenging time. We are grateful to the participating restaurants for helping NICU families feel cared for and connected to the Walnut Creek community.
