Summer Arts Walnut Creek

WALNUT CREEK, CA— The City of Walnut Creek and twelve of its community organizations are collaborating to present Summer Arts Walnut Creek.
In its 4th year, this summer-long celebration of the performing, visual, and culinary arts takes place in downtown Walnut Creek. Events and activities are planned throughout June to August, including experiences for both families and adults.
Walnut Creek, a city rich in its arts offerings, is proud to bring this celebration in partnership with many of the city’s businesses, non-profit and arts organizations. A small sample of experiences for all ages include:
- Locust Street Festivals - live music at two stages, booths, kids’ activities, food and wine
- Lesher Center for the Arts - Wizard of OZ, Luminous and much more
- Summer Concerts at Broadway Plaza - three live concerts featuring all-female lineup
- Public Art Walking Tours - self-guided tour
- Festival Opera - live performance in Civic Park
- Painted Pianos - six downtown locations for the public to enjoy
For Adults:
- Walnut Creek Uncorked - kick-off the summer with a Sip, Savor & Stroll extravaganza
- Bedford Gallery - opening of Beyond Color: “The Language of Black and White”
- Valley Art Gallery - In the Company of Trees exhibit including artist, Kathleen Gadway
