Bavarian Beats, Bratwurst & Brews: Oktoberfest Returns to Walnut Creek This September

Two-Day Fall Festival Brings Live Music, Local Beer, and Family Fun to Civic Park East

Walnut Creek, Calif. – July 21, 2025
– Get ready to raise your stein! Walnut Creek Oktoberfest returns for two days of lively music, hearty food, and community cheer on Friday, September 26 (5–10 p.m.) and Saturday, September 27 (12–9 p.m.) at Civic Park East in downtown Walnut Creek.

Presented by Visit Walnut Creek and hosted by the Community Partnership for Walnut Creek Downtown (CPWCD), the free, family-friendly event blends traditional German flair with local flavor, offering something for everyone.

“This is one of our most anticipated events of the year,” said Kathy Hemmenway, Executive Director of Walnut Creek Downtown. “Oktoberfest brings thousands of residents and visitors together to celebrate culture, community, and small business, and we’re thrilled to build on that momentum again this fall.”

Live Music on Two Stages All Weekend

The Main Stage lineup features everything from authentic German polka by Deutscher Musikverein of San Francisco to high-energy sets by local favorites like Mad Apple. A second Civic Stage will showcase community groups, dance performances, and local musicians throughout the weekend.

Biergarten + Chill Zone Speakeasy

Sip your way through the open-air Biergarten, with pours from CaliCraft Brewing Co. and other local breweries alongside German classics, seasonal selections, and crisp ciders. Returning this year, guests can unwind in the Chill Zone Speakeasy, featuring handcrafted cocktails and lively DJ sets in a chill atmosphere.

Family Fun for All Ages

The Kinder Karneval returns with giant slides, a trackless train, carnival games, and hands-on activities for the littlest Oktoberfest fans.

Sponsorship Opportunities Available

Oktoberfest is made possible by the generous support of local sponsors and businesses. Organizations looking to connect with thousands of attendees in a festive downtown setting can still secure a spot as an event sponsor.
