Painted Pianos Kickoff Day

The Painted Piano Project has evolved into a vibrant community volunteer day, inviting people of all artistic levels to participate in transforming pianos into works of art. Now in it's eight year, this beloved beautification initiative brings people together to celebrate music and creativity. Dozens of volunteers gather downtown for a single day to paint the pianos, turning the city into a dynamic, interactive art space.

Locust Street Festival

Experience Walnut Creek Downtown’s most popular street festival series (formerly First Wednesday Street Fest). Locust Street Festival is an evening of art, beer/wine, food, activities, live music, and shopping from artisan vendors. Occurring monthly on a Wednesday from May through August in Walnut Creek. Grab a bite and support a small business by ordering from one of many Walnut Creek restaurants that are within walking distance. Connect with the community and explore all of what Downtown Walnut Creek has to offer.

HEAD WEST Marketplace

This vibrant, open-air shopping experience is brought to Walnut Creek in partnership with Head West and brings together a curated

mix of local makers, artisans, and small businesses. Taking place in the heart of Walnut Creek on North Main Street, this dynamic event offers a unique opportunity to explore handcrafted goods, vintage finds, art, home décor, fashion, and more.

Walnut Creek Uncorked

Kickoff summer at Walnut Creek Uncorked, a Sip, Savor & Stroll extravaganza! Spend a lovely summer evening sipping your way through downtown while strolling between participating locations, listening to live music, enjoying food tastings, riding on the wine trolley, and sampling a variety of wines, beers, spirits.

Walnut Creek Oktoberfest

Practice your polka, join us in the biergarten, or on the dance floor for another epic Oktoberfest in Walnut Creek. It’s a great place to show off your dirndl dress or don the lederhosen (not mandatory!). Walnut Creek Oktoberfest recreates the beloved German fall celebration and includes plenty of German food, family-friendly activities, a performance by traditional dancers, plus beer and wine. Walnut Creek on Ice

Twinkling lights, holiday smiles, crisp winter evenings and frosty ice under your skates are some of the amazing experiences you’ll find at Walnut Creek on Ice. Celebrate our 20th Anniversary this season in Civic Park. Glide on the ice, slide down Frosty’s Summit, and reserve a rink-side Fire Pit to complete your experience.
