Walnut Creek Downtown is managed by a full-time executive director and staff, along with a board of directors and various committees, the meetings of which are open to the public.

  • The WCD Board of Directors (501c6) meets on the 2nd Wednesday of every other month at 4:00pm, at Grower’s Square, 1646 N. California Blvd., Suite 220

• Wellness Alliance
  • 9:00am | Every other 1^st Wednesday (Bi-monthly)
  • Our Mission is for all Health & Wellness business owners/operators to collaborate and define innovative approaches to elevating Wellness in Walnut Creek.
• Arts Alliance
  • 9:00am | Every 1^st Friday (Monthly)
  • An ad-hoc group to create, support and steward programs and events that enhance the artistic, aesthetic and cultural quality of life in downtown Walnut Creek. Please contact, Kathy Hemmenway at Kathy@walnutcreekdowntown.com.
• Hospitality Alliance
  • 10:30am | Every other 3^rd Thursday (Bi-monthly)
  • The alliance is comprised of restaurant & bar owners/operators who discuss current trends, ordinances, security and improvements for the guest experience. Representatives from the Walnut Creek Police Department attend these meetings to provide communication and collaborative opportunities between the police department and the business community. . • Retail Alliance
  • 2:30pm | Quarterly 
  • Meetings are held quarterly at 2:30pm via Zoom. The next meeting date is to be determined. The task force develops recommendations to help strengthen retail offerings downtown. Topics include current retail trends, key demographic indicators, rents, vacancy levels, retail mix, and zoning regulations to strengthen and preserve retail in the downtown.
• Finance Committee
  • The committee assists with annual budgeting, special projects and requests. Please contact, Kathy Hemmenway at Kathy@walnutcreekdowntown.com
• Ice Rink Committee
  • (not a standing committee)
  • A joint effort with the Walnut Creek Chamber of Commerce to organize the downtown ice rink for the winter season. Contact WCD for a current meeting schedule.
