City Garages (hourly)

Downtown garages are all open to the public. Current fees are $1.25 per hour with the first hour will be free.

  • Lesher Center Garage (664 spaces) - 1625 Locust Street (Special Parking Rates may apply during Lesher Center Performances)
  • South Locust Street Parking Garage (250 spaces) - 1350 Locust Street (Between Mt. Diablo Blvd. and Cypress Street)
  • Broadway Parking Garage (464 spaces) - 1390 Broadway (One block South of the downtown Library)

There are also many privately owned garages and parking lots throughout downtown Walnut Creek. Pricing and time limits vary.

Employee Parking - ParkSmart

ParkSmart offers discounted employee parking through their mobile app to locate available parking & discounts for carpools. The program aims to provide employees with affordable or free parking options in nearby, less congested areas of downtown, ensuring that prime parking spaces remain available for customers to shop and dine. The Employee Parking Program was introduced in 2016 through a collaborative effort with property owners, the Walnut Creek Downtown Association, and the city.

Monthly Parking Passes

Broadway Plaza Monthly Parking Passes

Employee parking is located on the 5th level of the 5-level Main Street Parking Garage and in the designated area of the basement level of the Macy's side of the South Broadway Parking Garage. Passes are $80/month. Link to register

EV Charger Locations

EV chargers are available at multiple City parking lots and garages. Electric vehicle charging stations are located at the N. Broadway, N. Locust/Lesher Center and S. Locust garages. Chargers are also available for those visiting the WC Main Library (1644 N. Broadway) and City Hall (1666 N. Main St./N. Broadway entrance).

Meter Parking (hourly)

  • Downtown Core green meters are operating 7 days a week: $2 per hour with 3-hour time limits.
  • Purple parking meters are operating 7 days a week: $1 per hour with 10-hour time limits.
