What is Nia?
Nia is a cardiovascular workout that stimulates and integrates your mind, body, and spirit and leaves you feeling recharged, rejuvenated, and fully alive. Nia brings together the precision and energy of the martial arts, the creative expression of the dance arts, and the body awareness of the healing arts (including yoga). Nia is done barefoot to a wide variety of music styles and sounds. Nia is designed with The Body's Way in mind and can be modified to accommodate a wide variety of ages, abilities, and fitness levels. Throughout class, modifications are shown to help you tailor the moves to your own specific needs and desired outcome. Not only is Nia a fun, expressive way to get fit, it provides body knowledge that can help one benefit out of class, such as balance, flexibility, and increased awareness and vitality.
